Qualification Summary
GS-9: You qualify at the GS-9 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-7 grade level in the Federal government, with the skills needed to perform successfully the duties of the position, such as: Performing routine budget analysis duties including gathering, reviewing, verifying, and consolidating information and statistical data needed in planning, developing, and presenting budget information and requests; Researching legal and regulatory material to obtain factual information and/or interpretations for use by your supervisor and co-workers; Preparing summaries of statistical data in budget reports and schedules; and Recommending budget adjustments including restructuring budget allocations or work plans to deal with changing situations, such as policies or other priorities of national scope; OR You may substitute a Master’s degree or 2 full years of graduate education leading to such a degree in any field or a J.D. or L.L.B. degree for experience required at the GS-9 grade level. Such education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. Check with your school to determine how many credit hours comprise two years of graduate education.
