Basic Requirements: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Agency Requirements: In addition to the basic requirements, a Ph.D., M.D. or other earned doctorate is required. Minimum Requirements: Significant specialized experience leading, directing, and managing an innovative and dynamic organization focusing on the development or use of medical countermeasures (e.g. vaccines, drugs, diagnostic tools or medical devices) or technologies that address public health threats. Typically, experience of this nature is gained at or above the GS-14 grade level in federal service or equivalent state or local government, the private sector, or non-governmental organizations.
