Qualification Summary
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision; (Screen Out); Dexterity and Safety(JE#-86); Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean and in order) (JE#-25-A); Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (other than blueprints) (JE#-75B); Ability To Use and Maintain tools and Equipment (JE#-81). Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope, and quality of all experience and training, regardless of where or how acquired. Applicants will be rated based on their knowledge of the job elements identified in this announcement. Your application or resume must clearly show that you possess the appropriate experience and/or training requirements. In addition, applicants must show possession of the screen-out element listed below. Applicants who do not meet the following screen-out element/s will not be evaluated further. Screen-out Element: “Ability to Do the Work of the Position Without More Than Normal Supervision” For this position, work is defined as maintaining buildings, grounds, roads, and restrooms, including sweeping, scrubbing and waxing floors; washing windows and walls; dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, and providing general labor assistance in the absence of laborer and as backup support. Work is done by hand or with powered equipment. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
