To qualify for the Program Analyst GS-353-9 position you must meet one of the following: A. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Requires one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service (GS-7) that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience includes: performing analytical work including the collection, compilation, research and performing analysis of computerized data-sets and program information to recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of program operations; participating in special projects, ongoing analyses, investigations, and initiatives; wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods; and preparing various correspondence and reports using spreadsheets and word processing software, including communicating project plans with affiliates and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. (This specialized experience must be clearly supported by resume(s) to be creditable. We will not make assumptions regarding experience.) -OR- B. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED): Successful completion of a master’s or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. or J.D. if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. -OR- C. COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED): Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and specialized experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.
