You must possess the Basic Requirements identified below to be considered eligible for this position. Transcripts must be provided for qualifications based on education. Your application or resume must clearly show that you possess the appropriate experience requirements.
GS-05: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least a GS-04 grade level. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in cartography or in a related field such as photogrammetry or geodesy, where the work required similar knowledge and skills. Performed digitizing, scanning, plotting and attributing of resource information for maps that were imported into resident GIS hardware and software. Utilized common computer programs to generate reports, charts, graphs or tabular date for physical scientist or GIS specialist. Revised maps using ArcGIS or other GIS software to show change in boundaries, areas and ownership. -OR
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree that included at least 18 semester hours in coursessuch ascartography, relevant mathematical and statistical sciences, or related sciences, e.g., physical geography or geodesy. Examples of acceptable courses include cartography, astronomy, geodesy, photogrammetry, oceanography, computer science, land surveying, geophysics, remote sensing, algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. Not more than 9 of the 18 semester hours should have been in mathematics or statistics.-OR
