Adult Swim Announces the “Rick and Morty Musical Ricksperience”

Hold on to your terry folds, ladies and germs. Los Angeles is about to get schwifty.

The highly-anticipated and hyped up Adult Swim Festival starts tomorrow, October 5th, and will run until the 7th. Prepare yourself for music, comedy, and a whole lot of weird.

Along with a killer musical lineup featuring Run the Jewels, T-Pain, and Neko Case, the Adult Swim Festival will also include the first ever Rick and Morty Musical Ricksperience, featuring a live, 37-piece orchestra.

Get Schwifty

The Rick and Morty Musical Ricksperience is being spearheaded by Ryan Elder, the composer behind the show’s music. Fans can thank him for classics like, “Get Schwifty”, “Human Music”, and “Goodbye Moonmen”.

Elder will be joined by a series of special guests to help bring the music to the Ricksperience. Fan favorite tracks from the show will be played live and in sync with an episode of Rick and Morty.

Show Me What You Got

The Rick and Morty Musical Ricksperience won’t be the only dose of comedy gold at the Adult Swim Festival. Other performing comedians include Hannibal Buress, Jena Friedman, Nick Rutherford, and more.

Other musical guests include Dan Deacon, Thudercat, Open Mike Eagle, Mastodon, Com Truise, and Chaos Chaos.

Along with music, the festival will have a variety of attractions to take part in. They’re all pretty weird, but this isn’t a festival for anyone looking for “normal”. Other attractions include the Dream Corp LLC Virtual Reality “Egg”, a 4D Meatwad Dome Experience, Rick and Morty Mini-Golf, and a giant hot-dog ride.

True fans of Adult Swim and Rick and Morty won’t want to miss out on the three days of music, comedy, and fun to be found at the Adult Swim Festival. If I had a portal gun I’d be there too, but sadly the technology doesn’t exist yet.
