Padma Bhushan and Dadasaheb Phalke Award-winner Actor Pran Sahab expired on this day in 2013. If he hadn’t, he would have been 98 today. He was born Pran Kishan Sikand in 1920. Unlucky me! I had tried to get in touch with him for an interview at the beginning of my career. But, he had already fallen ill and was not comfortable giving the interview right then. I had no other alternative than to give up the chance of meeting such a stalwart.
