Rainy Bollywood

Monsoons are upon us in India and elsewhere. I think this would be the right time for me to share the list of rainy songs. Monsoons are important for us because human beings, plants and animals need water for survival. The summer sun-scorched parched land needs H2O to store as well use it for the growth of crops and other important plants. Thus, monsoons are welcomed enthusiastically.

Bollywood and the Rains: These are my favorite rain songs. I have selected songs which have been picturized in the rain. Some songs like Ab ke Sajan… Chupke Chupke (1975) have not been picturized in the rain. Such songs have not been included in the list.

Ooo Sajna barkha bahar aayi Parakh (1960)

Bheegi bheegi raton mein… Ajnabee (1974)

Rama Rama gajab hui gawa re… Naya Zamana (1971)

Hai hai yeh majboori… Roti Kapda Aur Makan (1974)

Kaate nahin katte yeh din yeh raat… Mr. India (1987)

Pyar hua ikraar hua hai… Shree 420 (1955)

Aaj rapat jayen… Namak Halal (1982)

Ek ladki bheegi bhagi si… Chalti Ka Naam Gadi (1958)

Rimjhim gire sawan… Manzil (1979)

Dil tera deewana hai Sanam… Dil Tera Deewana (1962)

Ek but banaoonga tera Asli Naqli (1962)
