Today is Actor Poonam Dhillon’s 57th birthday. She shot to fame when she was crowned Miss Young India in 1978. Post her debut in Noorie (1979); she has acted in more than 80 movies. She had been a part of Bigg Boss (2009) and had played the role of Sharda Modi in Ekk Nayi Pehchaan (2013). She is currently studying for her Masters in International Business. Her company Poetic Justice Films is into events management and movie-making. I met her in the 1990s when my sister interviewed her for a print magazine and I had accompanied her.
