Next Thursday, April 5th, local musician, singer, and songwriter Brandon Tinkler will be releasing his new EP at Square Cat Vinyl in Fountain Square. The show, sponsored in part by Flat 12 Bierwerks, will also include local musician Peter Andrew King.

Brandon Tinkler

Brandon Tinkler is an independent recording artist based out of Indianapolis. He released his debut album “Nowhere to Run” in the summer of 2014. You can listen to “Nowhere to Run” by visiting Tinkler’s Bandcamp page.

In regards to Brandon Tinkler’s musical background, his website states that “Brandon fell in love with rock ‘n roll music at the age of fifteen and began performing and writing songs shortly after”. It further states that Tinkler’s style “blends the simplicity of early rock ‘n roll music with textures that encompass a range of different types of American music”.

Tinkler’s EP release at Square Cat Vinyl will precede the full length album he intends to release in Spring of 2018. To find out more about Brandon Tinkler, you can visit his website. You can also find him on Facebook.

Peter Andrew King

Peter Andrew King is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Indianapolis, and also a member of the local psych-rock band Peter and the Kings. While Peter and the Kings is a collaborative project, it would be fair to say that it wouldn’t exist without Peter King. On the group’s Bandcamp page, all of the credits for songwriting go to Peter King. And for their 2013 single, “You Will Falter”, King recorded all of the instrumentals.

It will be interesting to see what King does when he performs on his own, or if he even does at Tinkler’s EP release. Who knows, we might see some other ,members of Peter and the Kings there in support.

You can find Peter Andrew King’s songs on Peter and the Kings’ Bancamp page. You can also find him on Facebook.

Brandon Tinkler’s EP release show kicks off at 8:00 pm at Square Cat Vinyl. Doors open at 7:00 to all ages, and five dollars will get you in.
