Comic sequences that hit under the belt are common in this movie. How Ajay Devgn agreed to do this movie is beyond my comprehension. When I met him, he seemed a fairly decent chap and in one of the interviews he had said, he would not be doing kissing scenes and other such scenes, which he would not be comfortable to watch with his family.

Movie: This song appeared in 2006 hit Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision and K Sera Sera’s comic movie Golmaal – Fun Unlimited (Deception with Confusion – Fun Unlimited) directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Dhillin Mehta. The movie starred Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, Tusshar Kapoor, Rimi Sen, etc.

The story is about the naughty foursome Gopal (Ajay Devgn), Madhav (Arshad Warsi), Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor) and Lakshman (Sharman Joshi). The intelligent student Lakshman is diverted from a good performance by his mischief-monger friends Madhav, Gopal and Lucky. Lucky is a mute man in the movie. Lakshman’s friends use Lakshman’s hostel room for their mischiefs and pressurize him to run a series of scams for earning some money. The latest among them is leaking and selling an exam paper.

The dean (Manoj Joshi) is furious with them and literally throws them out of the college. Students of today can give their teachers a nervous breakdown. A moneylender Vasooli (Mukesh Tiwari) is following them and to escape from him, the foursome reaches the bungalow of a blind couple Somnath (Paresh Rawal) and Mangala (Sushmita Mukherjee). The couple is waiting for their grandson Sameer and mistakes Gopal to be him by his voice. They think that their grandson is Lakshman by touch.

All the 4 fall in love with the saucy-next-door neighbor Nirali (Rimi Sen). She tells them that she will be participating in a couple race the next day and Madhav and Lakshman, in a female disguise, decide to participate in it too. Nirali mentions couple race. But, she does not mention if the race would be on foot or in a vehicle. That information is taken for granted. The director takes us through a hilarious sequence of the race, Madhav wins the race and he is expected to donate the money he won to charity. The foursome gets to know that there is a wooden chest that the old couple are protecting. Gopal, Madhav and Lucky want to find out more about the chest. Lakshman, on the other hand, wants to help Nirali in a dance competition. In the next shot, the foursome is seen singing this song for Nirali.

Song: The lyrics were penned by Vishal Dadlani and the music was composed by Vishal-Shekhar.

The gist of the song is, “Dear Beloved, live in my heart. Don’t leave me alone. I have made a place for you in my heart. Stay there.”

Video: Cinematography is by Aseem Bajaj. Dance choreography is by Ganesh Acharya.

The video opens with Sharman Joshi entering the party area on a flat boat and Rimi Sen turning to look at him. He begins to perform the song. Arshad Warsi also joins him in the song-and-dance sequence. Ajay Devgn also joins them in the song.

Rimi Sen is initially irritated. Then, she begins to pat her thigh in tune with the song. Suddenly, the tune takes the color of a Bhangra dance and its combo with pop. A bearded man comes in front of the camera and performs a few lines in English.

At this point, Rimi Sen joins them in the performance. Suddenly, a large wave hits the boat and Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi and Sharman Joshi catch hold of Rimi Sen in fright. Only Tusshar Kapoor is standing away from them. The song has ended by then and the video also ends there.

Artists: The playback of this song was sung by Javed Ali and Sunidhi Chauhan and the onscreen performances are by Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Arshad Warsi, Rimi Sen and others.

Cultural Influence: This typically filmi song has some influence of Bhangra pop on it. The song and the artists are good and the video is watchable for the same.
