The movie starred Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Ranvir Shorey, Girish Karnad, Roshan Seth, Gavie Chahal, etc. Post this movie; a sequel Tiger Zinda Hai was released last year. The critics were happy with only the movie’s music, action and cinematography.

RAW agent Tiger tends to kill someone or the other during every mission. His boss Dr. Shenoy (Girish Karnad) warns him about it before giving him a new assignment. The new mission is in Dublin, Ireland; where Trinity College Professor Anwar Jamaal Kidwai (Roshan Seth) is suspected of sharing his findings with the Pakistani spy agency ISI. Gopi (Ranvir Shorey) also joins Salman Khan in the mission.

Though Tiger meets the professor, he is unable to spend time with him. Instead, he ends up dating the professor’s caretaker Zoya (Katrina Kaif). What initially started as an attempt to find more information becomes a romantic drama. Before he realizes anything; Tiger is attacked and robbed by someone, who he suspects is an ISI agent. Gopi keeps warning Tiger, not to let personal feelings obstruct him from performing his duty toward his nation. Soon, Zoya also falls in love with him and Tiger and she get to know each other’s feelings.

When Professor Kidwai and Tiger are present at a theater watching the dance choreographed by Zoya, some activity is discovered in Professor Kidwai’s home. Gopi informs his friend about it. Tiger discovers Zoya copying the Professor’s research files from his computer. Tiger tries to convince her into working for India. She decides not to commit treason to her country Pakistan. Tiger kills her colleague, who appears suddenly and Tiger lets her go.

Through a cryptic message, Zoya informs that she would be attending the UN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting at Istanbul and Tiger shakes himself out of his forced rest and a desk job. He joins Dr. Shenoy and the Indian Foreign Minister at the meeting. Zoya and Tiger meet and decide to run away from it all. They elude the RAW and ISI agents and go away to Cuba. Dr. Shenoy realizes that Tiger has left RAW and India for good because Tiger had withdrawn all his savings from a bank in Istanbul. The RAW boss orders Gopi to find Tiger and if need be, kill him to avoid Pakistan getting inside information of RAW. Tiger and Zoya lose themselves in the community and are almost not found by the people looking for them. Well, almost!

They are caught on a CC TV camera while fighting off a group of pickpockets. Soon, they have both the RAW and ISI searching for them. Over an extended action sequence, the lead pair has the RAW and ISI behind them chasing them all over the place. They manage to escape, but not before Gopi shoots Tiger on his back. After recovering, Tiger calls Dr. Shenoy and requests him not to interfere with his life. Tiger and Zoya are considered lost in their respective organizations’ records and the organizations are still searching them. They are sighted all over the world but still not found. The movie ends here and this song is performed with the final titles.
