Preview: Fun on the Run at White Rabbit Cabaret


On Thursday, March 8th, The White Rabbit Cabaret in Fountain Square, Indianapolis will be putting on a Fun on the Run concert. The show will feature four distinct musical groups that will play throughout the night. These are: Dream Chief, Jason Aaron Coons, Vesper, and Capital Soiree.

Dream Chief

Dream Chief is an Indianapolis electro-pop duo comprised of John and Luke Tuttle. While Dream Chief has yet to release an album, their single, “Can’t Shake U” has over ten thousand plays on Soundcloud. You can visit their Soundcloud to listen to more of Dream Chief.

Jason Aaron Coons

Jason Aaron Coons is an electronic, indie-pop artist who also calls Indianapolis home. NUVO wrote an article on Coons’ sophomore album release, “Ride”. In it, they compare Coons’ growth as an artist.

“Nowhere is Jason Aaron Coons’ self-trust more evident than in his explosive use of his synthesizer, transforming him from an extremely talented yet mechanically safe singer in his first record into a dynamically powerful and artistically bold figure in his second”.

Vesper is a power pop duo that hails from Chicago, Illinois. Their website states that, “The duet, Zak Fox Jablow and Samantha Rose Humphreys seek music as outlet to escape from reality. The music is inspired by their own lives”.

Capital Soiree

Capital Soiree is an indie rock and dream pop group from Chicago that formed in 2012. They released their debut EP “Steve’s Basement” in 2013. In 2016, they released another, “Next Weekend”, followed by “Take Me Anywhere” in 2017. Capital Soiree’s most recent EP “Waves of Change” came out earlier this year. You can listen to all of these on Capital Soiree’s Bandcamp page.

Capital Soiree consists of James Kourafas (Vocals, Guitar, Drums, Keys), Max Romero (Bass, Vocals), Steven Rejdukowski (Guitar, Keys, Vocals, Drums). For live performances, they are accompanied by drummer Griffin Shaw.

The Fun on the Run show starts at 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 8th. The doors to the White Rabbit Cabaret open at 7:00 pm, and tickets to the event are ten dollars.
