Next Sunday, February 18th, the Old National Center in downtown Indianapolis will be hosting a few well known, heavy rock bands at their venue. Stone Sour, Red Sun Rising, and The Dead Deads.
Stone Sour
Stone Sour is a hard rock band from Des Moines, Iowa that was founded in 1992. Ten years after they came together, the band released the album “Stone Sour” in 2002. Since then, Stone Sour has released five additional albums over the years. The most recent of these is the 2017 album “Hydrograd”, which they’ll be promoting during their current tour.

Red Sun Rising
Red Sun Rising is an alternative rock band from Akron, Ohio. The band formed in 2007, and has released a mix of both independent and studio albums throughout their career. Their debut, self-titled album came out in 2010, followed one year later by another independent record, “Making of Kings”. Red Sun Rising released their next two albums on the label Razor & Tie. “Polyester Zeal” came out in 2015, and “Thread”, their most recent album, will come out this March.
Red Sun Rising consists of Mike Protich (vocals, guitar), Ryan Williams (guitar), Ricky Miller (bass, vocals), Dave McGarry (guitar, vocals), and Pat Gerasia (drums). To learn more about Red Sun Rising, you can visit their website or Facebook page.
The Dead Deads
The Dead Deads are a four-piece hard rock band from Nashville, Tennessee. While their influences fall under different eras of rock, they all have some core similarities to them. The Dead Deads’ Facebook profile goes into more detail. “The Dead Deads explore sounds from 90’s bands like The Pixies and Sonic Youth, to modern metal bands like Mastodon and Baroness, all while keeping their grunge/punk rock roots”.
The Dead Deads recently released their latest album “Sketches and Animation” in January, their fifth studio album to date. They’ll no doubt be performing some of their newest material during next Sunday’s show.
