On Tuesday, February 6th, Indiana City Brewing Co. will be bringing in three bands to play a show at their venue. Along with a great selection of craft beers, you’ll also have the pleasure of hearing the bands BYBYE, Carpoolparty, and War Radio.
Bybye is an electronic and experimental soul band based out of Indianapolis. They’ve been dropping EP’s since their first self-titled EP in 2015. Recently, Bybye released a single from their first full-length studio album, “Metamorphasize”, which is set to release in mid February. You can listen to the single “Metamorphasize” on Bandcamp.
The members of Bybye are Martin Green (organ, vocals), Nick Peoni (lead guitar), Sam Shafer (acoustic guitar, keyboards, vocals), Paul Symons (drums), and Cody Davis (bass).
Carpoolparty is an electro-pop and funk duo from Greenville, South Carolina. The duo is comprised of a husband and wife team of Mary Olguin (Vocals) and Danny Olguin (Keys & Beats). According to their Facebook profile, “Carpoolparty started as a studio side project but quickly grew into a blissfully upbeat pure-pop act with pseudo-nostalgic overtones”. Mary and Danny dubbed their new experimental genre ‘vaporwave’, a mix of EDM, pop, hip-hop, and funk.
Along with a slew of produced singles, Carpoolparty has released a few albums over the years. In 2016, they released the EP “Hot Tapes”, which was followed up last year by “Internauts EP”.
War Radio is a rock and folk band from Greencastle, Indiana. According to their Facebook profile, War Radio has “Featured as an Indy RAW artist in 2015, playing shows at The Old National Centre, opening for Jennie Devoe, and wooing college students across Indiana, with over 250 shows a year”.
The band consists of LaToshia Everson (vocals), Drew Cooper (drums), Dennis Furr (bass), and Joel Everson (guitar, vocals).
The show at Indiana City Brewing Co. starts at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 6th, and will run until around midnight. Admission is free, so be sure to tip your bartenders well if you order any drinks.
