Willie Nelson fans who hoped to see the singer perform in the next few weeks will no longer have the opportunity to do so. Nelson had to stop a show early on Saturday due to breathing problems and is now canceling even more shows.
It turns out that the country music singer has the flu and is now needing time to recoup at home. Luckily, his spokesperson says that he is recovering quickly, and we should be expecting him back out on the road in February, according to Fox News.
As a result of his illness, Nelson canceled three shows in addition to the one he had to cut short. The scheduled shows were in Palm Springs, Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nevada. He also had to cancel a show back in August due to respiratory issues. That occurrence landed him in the hospital.
Naturally, this new illness is likely to spur a bunch more of those death hoaxes we’ve come accustomed to when it comes to Willie Nelson. He has received so many over the past few years that he ended up writing a song about it earlier last year. He even went as far as making a funny video to go along with it. Check it out below.
Nelson has always had a great sense of humor. He almost has to have it when dealing with people trying to kill him off all the time. Thankfully, he’s still around for us to enjoy, but is starting to show some signs that he’s aging. Eventually, the veteran singer will have to slow down on all the touring. But, if Nelson has anything to say about it, it won’t happen anytime soon.
Get well soon, Willie Nelson.
