Carrie Underwood might be releasing new music soon

Carrie Underwood might be at home recovering from a nasty fall, surgery on her wrist and a lot of stitches, but that isn’t holding her back. During an NFL playoff game on Saturday, the star teased her fans with the clip of a new song titled “Champion.”

Shortly after the game, the NFL shared a tweet about the teaser.

“Check out something special from @carrieunderwood that aired tonight during halftime!” they captioned the post.

Later Underwood also shared the same tweet but failed to give out any more information about the new song. Naturally, fans are excited about the idea of new music, and this teaser is almost too much to bear.

Luckily, Underwood did finally give out a little more information on Instagram. She shared a simple image with the word Invincible in all caps along the middle. At the bottom, she’s added the hashtag #THECHAMPION. She captioned the image with a note that says “#TheChampion coming January 12. #SBLII.”

At this point, we can only guess at whether she is releasing an entire album or just a new single on Jan. 12. But, the good news is we don’t have to wait much longer. It will certainly be exciting to hear from Underwood once more. It’s been awhile since we’ve had any new music from her.

Currently, the country music singer is busy recovering at home after a nasty fall she took outside her Nashville home. The singer went as far to warn her fans that she may look a little different when they see her again. Apparently, she needed 40 to 50 facial stitches after the fall.

Right now, Underwood doesn’t have any dates on her tour schedule next year, but that may change if she releases a new album soon. Hopefully, she will be recovered nicely and ready to hit the road before we know it.
