Raj meets Ramnath’s maidservant Asha (Nutan) and makes friends with her. He decides to paint her picture for Rs.1000. When he gets a 1000 currency note from her boss Aarti (Shobha Khote), he is fascinated by it and gives it to Asha because he thinks she is more in need of it. While leaving the bungalow where Asha works, Raj sings this song.

He suddenly realizes that a grasshopper is present below his shoe. He almost crushes it but stops short at the right time. He picks it up on a pipal leaf and places on the side of the road. He begins to sing at this moment. He dances with 2 little girls passing that way.
2 men come that way on bicycles, whistling. He shows an empty pocket to a street vendor and continues to sing. The vendor drops some peanuts in his hand and Raj Kapoor leaves the place. A blind man is crossing the street and is about to get hurt from a cyclist. Raj Kapoor saves him.
Raj Kapoor helps the blind beggar to cross the street and drops the peanuts into his bowl. Soon, the lead actor sprints toward his destination as the sun sets. The song peters out and the video ends there.
