Fans of rockabilly and the King get ready – – Radio Radio in Fountain Square in downtown Indianapolis is once again holding the Elvis Birthday Bash, Saturday, Jan. 12.
This years lineup will include Roy E. Reynolds from Noblesville, Indiana who has been paying tribute to Elvis Presley since 1973, even at one point recording music with DJ Fontana, Elvis’ original drummer. Also on the lineup will be Bigger Than Elvis, a rockabilly band who label themselves “heavy on the rock.” Made up of former members of various hardcore punk bands from around Indianapolis and the Midwest, Bigger Than Elvis promises to turn the night up to 11.
Rounding out the bill is the Midtown Madmen, a high-energy local band dedicated to throwback rock and roll from the 1950’s and 60’s, including Elvis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard and The Beatles.
Doors open on the night at 8 p.m. with the show starting at 9 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for $10 here.
