Bollywood is usually seen as an entertaining medium. But, it is such a strong and powerful implement in the hands of the filmmakers that it can drive through incisive messages. Filmmakers realized that in the beginning of the Bollywood era and have attempted to motivate the viewers against several negative aspects of life. In this are included whole movies and single songs as well.
Some movies are the mirrors of real life. In some real cases, movies have influenced incidents. Negative characters have been shown to be positive and vice versa. Some people may be good for some others and bad for some. In real life also, we may find such situations. Most movies have villains and the filmmakers have to present such a character for the sake of getting popularity. We can absorb negative and positive aspects shown in the cinema. But, being humans; we have developed a brain, naturally and are capable of taking the positive from everything. The onus lies on us.
Bollywood says: Here are some motivational songs from Bollywood that I like:
Woh Sikander hi doston kehlata hai… Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander (1992)
All izz well… 3 Idiots (2009). Though I do not endorse the way some of the shots in this song were picturized, intruding into the privacy of the students; I always feel inspired by the lyrics and the music.
Jawan ho yaroon yeh tumko hua kya… Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikandar (1992)
Chodo kal ki batein kal ki baat purani… Hum Hindustani (1960)
Aaye saala abhi abhi hua yakeen… Rang De Basanti (2006)
Toh zinda ho tum… Zindagi N Milegi Dobara (2011) This is a poem that Farhaan Akhtar narrates in the movie.
Badal pe paon hai… Chuk De! India (2007)
Zindagi ek safar hai suhana… Andaz (1971)
Ruk jana nahin tu kahin haar ke… Imtihan (1974)
