Next Thursday night, The Melody Inn is once again hosting more live music for Indianapolis locals. This one will feature four different musical acts. 19Clark25, Rastabilly Rebels, Jesse and The Hogg brothers, and Fuzzy Bunny Fish Fy.
19Clark25 is an Americana and roots rock band from Indianapolis. Its members include J. James Miller, Tom Glasel, Scott Kern, Scott Lamb, and Scott Tolley. 19Clark25 mixes their Americana sound between country roots and a rock and roll attitude toward something entirely different.
To find out more about 19Clark25 you can visit their Facebook page.
This local Indianapolis band was founded back in 1988, and they don’t show much in slowing down. Rastabilly Rebels, true to their name, blend their music with reggae, rockabilly, country, and rock. The band consists of Randy Creep (vocals), Thom Woodard (guitar, mandolin, steel guitar), Kevin Kouts (drums), Michael Phillips (bass), and Bruce Stuckey (guitar).

Jesse and The Hogg Brothers
If you haven’t yet picked it up, the theme at The Melody Inn next week must be country-related. Jesse and The Hogg Brothers sustain this trend as a straight-up country band. The band began in 2009 and includes eleven members. One, Jesse Braintree, is the lead vocalist. The remaining members are the Hogg Brothers. I’ll just go ahead and list first names. You can substitute the “Hogg” for yourselves, I’m sure. Blooma John, Greasy, Kash, Kenny, Kitty, Horace Lee, Joe Bob, Lisa Mari, Pappy, and Stevie Joe. That’s a lot of hogs if you ask me. Jesse and The Hogg Brothers are from Boston, MA, though they claim to be a family from Texas. Their live shows mix humor, music, and storytelling to entertain their audience.
Fuzzy Bunny Fish Fy
While their style has some overlap with the country theme of the night, Fuzzy Bunny Fish Fy stands out for more than just their name. Fuzzy Bunny Fish Fry plays a mix of rock, blues, reggae, rockabilly, country, pop, and even some space rock. The members of Fuzzy Bunny Fish Fry include Jerry AKA “JT Fats” (lead vocals, guitar), Dusty Dawn Teter (vocals, drums), and Corbin Collins (vocals, bass). Their guest musicians are Kim Barnett (rhythm guitar) and Matt Curtis (keys).
So if you’re up for a little country at a place where the general theme is punk, be sure to get to The Melody Inn next Thursday night. The show starts at 7:00 pm and five dollars will get you in the door.
