Sugarland releases new single “Still the Same”

It’s finally here! After years of focusing on their solo careers, country music duo Sugarland is finally reunited and has just released a brand new single. Titled “Still the Same” the new song is everything we would expect from the duo and proves that time has not altered their style and music.

According to Billboard, the new single debuted at number 25 and already has nearly 7 million listeners to date. It is also the first single from their upcoming album, which is due out sometime next year. It will be Kristen Bush and Jennifer Nettles first collaboration since 2011.

The song is a perfect one for Sugarland to release at this point in time. It talks about their time apart from one another and where the future will take them. Throughout the video of the song, you can see images of Nettles and Bush throughout their career and their reunion to make new music.

It’s really great to see the pair together again after such a long time apart. Naturally, the two did stay active during the split and continued to make music on their own. Both Bush and Nettles released solo albums during their time apart. Bush even went as far as helping other artists with their music. In fact, he was the producer behind Lindsay Ell’s LP, “The Project.”

But, it looks like the pair is back together for good at this point. Both Nettles and Bush seem thrilled with the new music. In a recent press release about the new single, both chimed in on their feelings for the reunion.

“We are thrilled for fans to hear our new music, especially this new single,” Nettles said.

Bush added, “We want to finish where we left off. We always knew we were going to make music again, so this has been the best of both worlds. We were able to take time to feed our personal passions, and we’re excited to come back together to create music as a band again.”

It’s definitely exciting to see these two back together again. And, fans can’t wait to see what else they have cooked up for us in the coming years.
