Preview: Holiday Special Part 3 at The White Rabbit

This Saturday, December 23rd, The White Rabbit will be throwing their annual Christmas concert show. This year, the Holiday Special will be hosted by Sirius Blvck. The show will feature musical performances by John Stamps, Blood Handsome, Chives, Txtbook, and more. If you’ll be in Indy for the holidays, you might want to consider stopping by for a drink or two and some live music.

John Stamps

John Stamps is a local Indianapolis rap and hip-hop artist who has toured around the country and opened for other notable acts. His Facebook profile lists some artists he’s opened for, including “Lupe Fiasco, Danny Brown, Waka Flocka, Mick Jenkins, Pouya, $uicide Boys, and MGK”. You can find out more about John Stamps by visiting his website or Facebook page.

Blood Handsome

Blood Handsome is the stage name of Gerren Reach, an electronic and darkwave musician who got his start with home recordings in 2014. Two years later, Blood Handsome released the EP “Bedroom Tapes”. In 2017, he released his debut album “Is Down”, and began hearing his songs played on XM Radio and other stations. You can find out more about Blood Handsome by visiting him on Facebook. You can also listen to his music on SoundCloud.

When it comes to categorizing bands, musicians, and artists, there are some who defy the easy answers of “rock”, “indie”, or “punk”. Chives is one of these without a doubt. With his wildly-experimental approach to songwriting, some of Chives’ tracks don’t even seem like recognizable songs. Despite this, he remains a pleasure to listen to. It’s like he’s trying to make the weirdest sounds and melodies possible but still manages to entice you in more than he wards you off. Listen for yourself by visiting his Bandcamp page. You can also find Chives on Facebook.

Txtbook is an Indianapolis DJ, graphic designer, cartoonist, and event promoter. You might have seen him performing around town before. If you’re curious about his sound, feel free to visit his SoundCloud to find out more. You can also find Txtbook on Facebook.

So again, if you’re looking for some fun during the weekend before Christmas, consider stopping by The White Rabbit Cabaret in Fountain Square Saturday night. There’s a five dollar cover charge to get in when the doors open at 8:00 pm. Music starts at 9:00.
