Bollywood of Hearts


Medically speaking, the heart is a 4-chambered pump, which circulates blood in the human body. Heart ailments include congenital and lifestyle diseases. Congenital diseases more often than not need surgery and lifestyle diseases can be avoided with positive changes in the lifestyle. Heart transplants today are considered routine.

Bollywood lyricists have connected this organ with romance since the beginning of the songs in Hindi movies. Breakups leave the heartbroken, the poets say. Scientifically also, an affected relationship can have a stressful effect on the heart. Bollywood itself has shown that stress due to breakups can be overcome by distraction.

Though the heart is connected to romantic relationships only by the lyricists, it can be associated with the relations with other near and dear ones as well.
