Veteran Bollywood actor Shashi Kapoor breathed his last yesterday. I remember that I had met him as a child during the shooting of a movie, in which Hema Malini was acting. He just happened to be there, perhaps shooting for another movie nearby. He had welcomed us, very happily. Unfortunately, by the time I became a journalist he had taken ill and could not be contacted for an interview.
He is one of my favorite actors of yesteryears. I love most of the songs he had performed on. I am sharing a few of my favorite ones here:

Shashi Kapoor Uncle, you will never be lost from the memories of the art world and our lives. The only regret is you did not wait for me to meet you for an interview. 🙁
