Busty and the Bass to play The Hi-Fi

On Thursday, November 30th, Montreal’s own Busty and the Bass will take the stage at The Hi-Fi in Indianapolis along with Caye. Read on for more about both these performers.

Busty and the Bass

Out of Montreal, Quebec, Canada comes Busty and the Bass, an electrosoul/R&B band made up of nine talented individuals. Featuring two trumpets, a trombone, an alto sax, as well as guitars, drums, bass, and keys, this band conjures up tunes that feel straight out of the ’70s and ’80s soul movement.

With funky tracks like “Up Top” and the jazzy, soulful “Common Ground,” Busty and the Bass offer something for everyone on their latest record, “Uncommon Good.” Inspired by artists from Stevie Wonder to Dr. Dre, this album deftly combines multiple genres to create one of 2017’s must-listen albums and certainly offers insight into the Canada R&B/hip-hop scene that’s so often dominated by the likes of Drake and his OVO crew.

In just six short years, the band has gone from its fledgling stages in Montreal to nationwide headlining tours. This is one band you won’t want to miss when they take the Hi-Fi stage. To learn more, check out their Facebook page.

Caye

From Los Angeles via Boston comes hip-hop artist and producer, Caye. After creating a solid following via SoundCloud, this Massachusetts native took his talents West and released popular tracks like “LA Life,” which has more than 92,000 SoundCloud plays and a brand new music video. He’s also found success with his recent songs, “Top Shelf” and “With U,” which you can find on all the major streaming platforms.

With a work ethic and talent like his, it won’t be long before every hip-hop fan is talking about Caye. You can catch him in this intimate Hi-Fi setting and I suggest that you do. For more information on Caye, check out his SoundCloud.
