Movie: This song appeared in 2008 Yash-Raj Films’ hit romantic drama Bachna Ae Haseenoon (Watch Out, Ladies) produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Siddharth Anand. The movie starred Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba, etc.
The movie begins with Raj Sharma (Ranbir Kapoor), a young playboy traveling with his friends to Switzerland. He had just completed his twelfth standard exams. He meets Mahi (Minissha Lamba), who is with her family and friends, on the train. Mahi is in love with love and thinks she will find her filmi hero in the new country. She is left behind in one of the stations and Raj jumps out of the train to be with her.
Raj finds out that there were 2 trains going to Zurich, soon– one that evening at 6 and the other was in the next morning at 6. He goes out to tell Mahi that the next train was to come only in the next evening at 6. Mahi insists that they hire a car and go by road to Zurich because she had a flight to catch from the city. They cannot afford a car, so they hire a scooter. By nightfall, Raj decides to play a prank on her. He says that the petrol in the scooter got over. She tells him to move along as they might find help soon. He pulls the scooter along.
They reach a village and she calls out to people. But, they do not find any. They sit down on a nearby seat. She tells him that her parents were in the process of deciding a groom for her. He confesses that he had lied to her about the petrol, for he had not known about her engagement. He also recites a poem he had written for her. She confesses that she had fallen in love with him.
When they reach Zurich airport and he tells his friends that he had trapped Mahi into having sex with him. Mahi hears that and is shocked and heartbroken. Raj realizes that she has heard everything he told his friends. He just leaves the airport, shamelessly.
Soon, Raj acquires a job as a game designer with Microsoft, in Mumbai and he finds Radhika (Bipasha Basu) to have a live-in relationship with her. Radhika is an aspiring model. Raj gets an offer to go to Sydney for the launch of one of the games he designed and stay there. He thinks that Radhika is a modern girl and he would be able to easily move on after leaving her. Radhika, on the other hand, declares that she would be happy to sacrifice her career as a model to marry him and join him in Sydney. Raj is not ready for a commitment and flees on the day he is going to marry Radhika. Radhika waits till nightfall at the registrar’s office and is dejected.
Soon, Raj has a successful career in Sydney. One day, he meets Gayatri (Deepika Padukone). Gayatri is a gutsy, independent woman, who drives a cab by night and is a B-school student by day. Raj becomes friendly with her and also learns that she does not believe in the institution of marriage like him. They begin to date and he realizes that he had begun to feel something for her and these feelings challenge his commitment-phobia. It is at this time that they go on a trip to several places and sing this song.

She smiles. He begins to sing this song and approaches her to hug her from behind. They are seen traveling in the backwaters of Venice.
They perform a few dance steps and some men applaud the performance. They take a bow and leave. They are, then, seen in a serene desolate beach. They perform a few dance steps there. An airplane is shown in the next shot. The song peters out and the video ends as a door is opened for Ranbir Kapoor.
