Jake Owen’s music just found a brand-new home. On Nov. 6, the country music singer switched labels and signed with Big Loud Records. According to Taste of Country, this move puts him working with the same producer of his “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” album from 2011.
Naturally, Owen says he is very excited about the switch. In a statement about the move, he had this to say:
“I couldn’t be more excited to start this new chapter in my career with Big Loud,” Owen said in a statement. “The passion for success that everyone has in the building is contagious. Combining what I already do with Big Loud’s expertise is exciting, and I am eager to get to work with Joey Moi again. We had great success in the past, and I’m looking forward to what the future holds for all of us.”
Big Loud has only been around for a couple of years. But, according to Music Row, they built the business in the hopes that an artist like Owen would come aboard. Now their dream has come true, and they can add his name to their ever-growing roster of talented artists. Currently, the label has a number of up and coming artists that they are working with.
Hopefully, this move means that Owen will be coming out with new music soon. His last album came out in 2013, and we haven’t seen a lot from him lately. However, he has been busy touring and plans to headline the 10th annual Guthrie’s River Ruckus next summer. He also has several other dates to enjoy throughout the summer. Check them out on his website.
He’s also in the process of selling his Tennessee home, which is currently on the market for $1.5 million. It’s a beautiful home and once belonged to Loretta Lynn’s daughter. Owen purchased the house back in 2012. You can learn more about the beauty, here.
