Alan Jackson experienced some unwelcome excitement at a concert the other day. A drunk fan decided to throw a beer at the country singer while he was right in the middle of his set. The trouble began when Jackson was at the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was performing as part of his Honky Tonk Highway Tour.
According to Wide Open Country, Jackson was finishing up “Don’t Rock the Jukebox,” and during an instrumental, took some time to sign an autograph. When he returned to the microphone, a fan quickly hurled a beer at him.
But, the country singer took the attack in stride and just dodged the beer. After looking out into the crowd for a moment searching for the perpetrator, Jackson shook his head and went back to what he was doing.
Naturally, a fan was recording when the fan threw the beer, and you can easily see a man chunk the beer towards Jackson. Check out the video below.
While Jackson may have been around awhile, this is probably one of his most exciting concerts to date. It isn’t every day that you see a crazy fan throw something at an artist, although the occurrence is becoming more common. Luke Bryan and other country artists have dealt with this type of issue as of late.
These days, Jackson is staying pretty busy. Along with planning tour dates, Jackson is also busy putting out new music for his fans. Recently, he just released a new video for “The Older I Get,” which is Jackson’s latest single. The video is a beautiful one that shows a lot of memorable photos of the singer’s career.
The Country Music Hall of Fame also inducted Jackson this year. It is a well-deserved award for the popular country music singer. Hopefully, he won’t have to worry about any fans throwing beers at him in the near future, however.
