We will get the opportunity to see a lot more Kenny Chesney next year. The country music singer announced last week that he is planning a 2018 tour. The tour will include 18 stops and will kick off on April 21 in Tampa, Florida. Chesney is calling it his “Trip Around the Sun” tour.
The country singer hasn’t toured since 2016. To announce the tour, Chesney made a video for his fans. In it, he had this to say about the upcoming tour:
“To say I miss the stage would be an understatement, but not just the stage. I miss the energy, the passion, the spirit of ‘No Shoe Nation,'” he said.
Naturally, the country music star will have a few other famous faces joining him on tour. According to Taste of Country, Thomas Rhett, Old Dominion and Brandon Lay will join Chesney on tour. However, these guys will only appear for a portion of his tour.

Naturally, Chesney fans are very excited about the announcement. He has a lot of great music to enjoy from his tenure. Over the years, he’s won four CMAs and one Entertainer of the Year Award. He has a number of hits that his fans enjoy listening to.
Chesney has been very busy these days. He’s currently in the process of releasing his second live album, “Live from No Shoes Nation.” This album comes out on Oct. 27.
In addition to putting out new music and planning tours, the country music singer is busy trying to help out the world. After hurricanes decimated his St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands home, he set up a foundation to help people in the area. He also sent supplies to residents and even helped evacuate some of the people on the islands.
So, along with being an accomplished country singer, Chesney is proving to be a generous person, too. If you want to see him live, make sure you check out the newest tour dates, here.
