Maroon 5 talks sixth studio album, “Red Pill Blues”

Maroon 5 will be releasing their sixth studio album “Red Pill Blues” Nov. 3 via 222 and Interscope records. Are we excited? More than excited – – there doesn’t exist a word that adequately sums up just how pumped fans are for this upcoming release. The LP will follow the band’s 2014 LP, “V.”

The band will release a 10-track standard edition of the album, as well as a deluxe edition which will feature five extra songs. J. Kash executive produced “Red Pill Blues” while both Kash and Levine produced the album. The LP will feature the band’s recent single, “What Lovers Do,” featuring SZA, as well as work with A$AP Rocky, Julia Michaels and LunchMoney Lewis. The deluxe edition will be including previously released tracks “Don’t Wanna Know” with Kendrick Lamar and “Cold,” featuring Future.

Maroon 5 revealed the “Red Pill Blues” album art on Snapchat recently and have launched a contest that lets fans put their own photo on the record’s cover – – which is a cool way to go personalize the group’s work.  Fans who share their pictures on social media will have a chance to win tickets to a Maroon 5 concert in addition to signed merchandise.

Maroon 5 have yet to announce a tour supporting the “Red Pill Blues” album, though the band is set to play two nights, Dec. 30- 31,  at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

The album is available for pre-order now, so head over to the band’s website and prepare to witness the excellence of “Red Pill Blues” for yourself!
