A place that I love to go when I venture out for a delicious breakfast is Good Morning Mama’s Cafe, 1001 East 54th St., Indianapolis, Indiana. The restaurant itself is very colorful and vibrant. The wait is not too long. We waited for almost 20 minutes to be seated. It is a café-setting, so inside you are close to others as you dine. There is also seating in a patio area and a few other outside spots in front of the restaurant.
The staff is very friendly, and they greet diners inside and outside of the restaurant. Our food came out fairly quick and was hot. I ordered the SoBro chicken, which is fried chicken breast smothered and gravy, two eggs, and fried potatoes. My mother ordered the vegetarian omelette which had goat cheese inside. According to her, it was phenomenal. My wife ordered coffee-flavored (kahlua) egg batter topped French toast with toasted pecans, powdered sugar and cinnamon butter. We have only been to Good Morning Mama’s Cafe a handful of times, but I always get full and it seems to start my day blissfully.
The cafe also offers mimosas, beers, and wines. There are a lot of places to eat in Indianapolis, but Good Morning Mama’s is definitely one you should taste for yourself.
