One day, Mohan meets Mona and he falls in love with her. Soon, Mona also falls in love with each other. Ramesh (Pran) comes along. His ‘doctor’ says that Ramesh is Colonel’s son and his wife is dead. When he goes to meet Ramesh, he finds him in tatters. Ramesh only listens to Mona. Mohan sees Mona with Ramesh and is shocked. He leaves a message with her friends that he is going to meet his school friend on a mountain where it has snowed just that morning. When the girls go skiing on that mountain, Mona finds him talking to a girl, with her back to her. But, Mona goes to see the girl’s face and sees that it is a snow doll with which he was talking. She throws a snowball on him and he begins this song. Mona also replies to him in the song.
Song: The music of this song was composed by O P Nayyar and Majrooh Sultanpuri wrote the lyrics.
The man sings, “Don’t go away taking my peace. Someone might loot our love on the way.” The girl replies, “You may stay away from me. But, you are with me, always.”
Video: Cinematography is by Marshal Braganza. Dance choreography is by Gopi Krishna.
The video opens with all the girls moving on a snow path, with their backs to the camera. Asha Parekh sees Joy Mukherjee speaking to another girl. When she gets to know that the sari-clad figure is not a girl, but a snow doll; she moves away from there after throwing a snowball on him. He begins this song.
Suddenly, there are several girls, supposedly Asha Parekh’s friends, all along the winding road with colorful balloons in their hands. Soon, the girls let the balloons fly off. Now, they are all dancing on the large deck of a boat with 2 other boats on either side of theirs. Tabassum is among the friends. Now, the number of girls has reduced.
Rajinder Nath, Pran and the actor playing the role of the Colonel are watching this scene from the bank of the lake. The music peters out and the video ends as the dance also ends.
Artists: The playback for this song was sung by Mohammad Rafi and Asha Bhonsle and the onscreen performance was by Asha Parekh and others.
Cultural Influence: This filmi song is in the guise of a romantic song. But, actually, the hero is covertly trying to find out who was with the heroine when he saw her with someone. The song is good and the video is watchable for the song and the artists, again and again.
