Movie: This song appeared in 1966 Pramod Films’ hit romantic flick Love in Tokyo, produced and directed by Pramod Chakravorty. The movie starred late Mahmood, Shobha Khote, late Joy Mukherjee, Asha Parekh, late Pran, late Lalita Pawar, late Asit Sen, late Madan Puri, late Dhumal, etc.
Gayatri Devi gets to know that her elder son and her Japanese daughter-in-law had left a grandson Chickoo (Master Shahid) for her. She sends her younger son Ashok (Joy Mukherjee) to Japan to fetch the little boy. In Japan, Ashok meets Chikoo and tries to convince him to come with him back to India, unsuccessfully. He also sees Asha (Asha Parekh) performing a semi-classical dance on a TV program in a shopping mall and falls in love with her. Asha is betrothed to Pran (Pran) by her uncle (Madan Puri). But, she does not want to marry him and runs away from home just after the program. She meets the runaway Chikoo and strikes a friendship with him.
Ashok’s friend Mahesh (Mahmood) is in love with Sheela (Shobha Khote) and reaches Tokyo behind his friend, actually trying to find his girlfriend. Sheela’s father (Dhumal) is against the match. One day, Mahesh disguises as an ascetic to meet Sheela, who tries to run away from him. It is now that Mahesh sings this song.
Song: The music of this song was scored by Shankar-Jaikishan and the lyrics were penned by Hasrat Jaipuri.
The gist of the song is, “I am the patient of your love. What else can I say? I am crazy about you. I am guilty of loving you. What can I say?”

The video opens with Shobha Khote being upset and running away from Mahmood in an ascetic guise. The music begins. Mahmood is following her. He begins singing the song as well as perform a few dance steps. They are in a mountainous area. Shobha Khote takes the chair-winch to travel to another mountain.
Mahmood is then seen moving, sitting on skates where the others are skiing. Shobha Khote comes to an amusement park. Mahmood follows her and continues the performance. He removes his disguise. She still runs away from him, but, is happy. They go on rides together. The song and the video end abruptly.
