After all the rewards and music had ended at the CMT Awards last week, country music star Blake Shelton wasn’t quite ready for the party to end. Instead, he sent out a Tweet inviting his fans to the bar with him.
His first tweet pointed fans to Whiskey Bent in Nashville for a drink. After spending some time drinking and bartending with his fans, he soon moved the party to Crazy Town, followed by Losers. Naturally, he also took some time to sing a few tunes at each spot as well.
It’s likely that many of the people at the bars were there in response to his tweets. However, there were also those that had no idea he was coming. Regardless of how much they knew about Shelton’s schedule, the fans who did show up all had an excellent time and wound up sharing a lot of great photos on social media.
However, Shelton didn’t let the fun happen all in one night. Instead, he announced a special show at the Wildhorse Saloon the next day. The impromptu concert took place at 2 pm and lasted for about an hour. Those who came enjoyed hearing a bunch of great Shelton songs from the present and the past.
The country music singer definitely has a lot of reasons to celebrate these days. This week, he will be turning 41 and will celebrate with his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani. He recently talked about the plans for his big birthday telling Country Rebel that he figured Stefani was planning a party and hoped that she would jump out of a cake to surprise him.
Shelton is also fresh off the success of his latest album and in the middle of a tour. His next tour date is on June 20, and he will continue touring through the middle of September. If you want to check him out live, take a look at his full concert dates, here.
