They sing this song at a discotheque at this time.
Song: The music of this song was scored by Vishal-Shekhar with the lyrics penned by Anvita Dutt Guptan.
The gist of the song is, “I am without any work. Everybody does not have anything to do. Let us all be jobless. O people moving about in cars, the people blowing away their time in smoke, all the uncles and aunties say that they are playing mischief. People call us jobless. Why do we care?”
Video: Cinematography is by Ayananka Bose. Dance choreography is by Bosco-Caesar.
The video opens with the shot of the discotheque. It is fully filled with almost no place to dance and for that matter to even breath. Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra begin to dance and sing the song. Varun Dhawan tries to flirt with a girl and her boyfriend, who has more muscles, comes there. Varun Dhawan hands over the girl to her boyfriend.
Quite a few girls and boys dance with them. They roam about around Delhi and Agra this weekend. They return to college. Kaiyoze Irani and Alia Bhat sit together in one of the front rows in the class. Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan sit a little behind. The pair keeps looking up the meaning of some words in the dictionary and laughing.
The professor gets angry and throws them out. They laugh even more. They have a car race with some other guys. Varun Dhawan goes to the discotheque with Alia Bhatt, but, flirts with other girls in front of her. Sidharth has a drink with Alia Bhatt and says farewell to her to leave the place. Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan have a conversation with each other.
Varun Dhawan drinks too much and Sidharth Malhotra picks him up in his arms and takes his friend home. The song and the video end there.
Artists: The playback is sung by Shekhar Ravjiani and the onscreen performances are by Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Kaiyoze Irani, Alia Bhatt, and others.
Cultural Influence: This is again a typically filmi comic Bhangra-pop song celebrating the friendship of the 2 boys and talking about people’s attitude toward them. The song and the artists are good. The video is watchable for Vaibhavi Merchant’s choreography.
