But, now, years later, Kaajal’s father Kishorilal (Kamal Kapoor) is against the alliance because Sanjay comes from a poor family. Soon, Sanjay becomes the secretary of Rajesh, who is masquerading as Manjeet. Kaajal is told to visit Manjeet by her father. When Sanjay opens the door for her, she mistakes him for the person she was supposed to meet. They begin to go out together on dates.
Soon, Kaajal finds out that Manjeet is a different person altogether. The man she met is actually Sanjay. Manjeet and Kaajal begin to meet each other. Manjeet is, soon, seen in a dance competition where all his challengers lose. Finally, Sanjay appears from nowhere to challenge him. Sanjay sings this song at this time.

Tariq Khan had sung part of this song for Kaajal Kiran sometime back in the movie while they were dating. Rishi Kapoor appreciates him and Tariq Khan accepts it in humility. Some girls support him by singing chorus. Kaajal tells something to the girls on her side. Tariq Khan is appreciated by the entire audience with claps.
Rishi Kapoor instructs his side of the orchestra on the tune and begins dancing and also begins the song. He also addresses Kaajal Kiran. Kaajal Kiran and her friends give chorus to the song, now. The girls on Tariq Khan’s side go toward the stage on his side. Rishi Kapoor is surprised and the video ends there.
Artists: The playback of this song was sung by Mohammad Rafi and Kishore Kumar and onscreen performance is by Tariq Khan, Kaajal Kiran and Rishi Kapoor among others.
Cultural Influence: This is a typical filmi song and dance contest where Rishi Kapoor is challenged by Tariq Khan. The song and the artists are good. The video is watchable for the same.
