Movie: This song appeared in 1963 socio-family drama Bharosa (Faith) directed by K Shankar and produced by N Vasudeva Menon under the banner of Vasu Films. The movie starred late Guru Dutt, Asha Parekh, late Mahmood, Sudesh Kumar, late Kanhaiyalal, late Nana Palsikar, etc.

Ronaklal (Kanhaiyalal) is the manservant of a rich man Ramdas (Shivraj), who is suffering from tuberculosis. Ramdas thinks that he is going to die and gives Ronaklal a large sum of money to take care of his son Bansi. Ronaklal moves to a village with his wife, son and Bansi. He also brings up Bansi as a menial laborer. Bansi (Guru Dutt) grows up into a simple and good-hearted man. On the other hand, Ronaklal’s real son Deepak (Sudesh Kumar) pursues a rich man’s daughter (Neena) in the city where he had been sent to study. Bansi is in love with the daughter of another rich man from the village Shivcharan Das (Nana Palsikar) called Gomati (Asha Parekh). One day, Gomati and Bansi meet in the fields and sing this song in the beach.

Song: The music of this song was scored by Ravi and the lyrics were penned by Rajinder Kishan.

The girl says, “Today’s meeting is over. You can talk with me tomorrow, now.” The man says, “It is not good to be so stubborn. See, I love you so much.”

Video: Cinematography is by Thambu. Dance choreography is by Gopi Krishna.

The video opens with Guru Dutt and Asha Parekh rolling together on the sand. They stop and the music has already begun. Asha Parekh begins the song. She moves about dancing among coconut trees. He comes along and catches hold of her hand. In the next shot, she is seen dancing on rocks. She moves over a small bridge and he follows her. The song peters out and the video ends there.

Artists: The playback singers of this song are Lata Mangeshkar and Mahendra Kapoor and the onscreen performances are by Asha Parekh and Guru Dutt.

Cultural Influence: The heroine makes it a point to meet the hero every day. But, the hero finds that the time they spend together is not enough. The typically filmi song and the artists are good. The video is watchable for the same.
