Chris Stapleton fans got quite the surprise this week when he revealed that he will be releasing two albums in 2017. The albums will be a two-part set called “From A Room.” The first part will be released on May 5 and the second will follow later this year.
Stapleton made the announcement by inviting several members of the music community into his RCA Studio A. Along with making the huge announcement, he shared some music with them. According to The Tennessean, Stapleton also had quite a bit to say about his new albums.
“I’m real proud of this record,” he said. “We made it right here in (RCA Studio A) like the last one. We camped out in here … and had a lot of fun recording things.” The album is now available for pre-order through iTunes and Stapleton’s website.
The new music that Stapleton went on to share with those present was from his new album. The crowd seemed to love the new songs and were excited about what will be coming out with the second album. For now, however, we know little about the second album or what songs Stapleton plans to include on it.
Currently, Stapleton is still enjoying the success he received from his multi-platinum selling album “Traveller”–his rise to fame. It won him a lot of praise from country music fans and the country music industry as well as a couple of awards: Album of the Year at both the CMAs and the ACMs.
Along with putting out these new albums, Stapleton is right in the middle of a tour that will continue through the end of the year. It will hit cities all across the United States, including San Antonio, St. Paul, Pittsburgh and Duluth. It will conclude on November 4 in Grand Rapids, Mich..
