The 10th annual Record Store Day event is due to occur on April 22nd 2017. Local record stores around the country will be welcoming new and old fans of the once thought obsolete medium with a range of exclusive releases that will be available that day only.

Thankfully we’re here to help to point out some of the more attractive offerings. The full list can be found on the official RSD website.

David Bowie – BOWPROMO (LP Box)

In 1971, Bowie’s then-manager, Tony Defries tried to secure a new record deal for himself and fellow Mainman Records artist Dana Gillespie. A promotional record was pressed in a generic white sleeve that featured 7 Bowie songs on one side and 5 by Gillespie on the other and was identified only by its matrix number BOWPROMO 1A-1/1B-1. This RSD release will faithfully recreate the sleeve design and will feature the original track listing including five Bowie prints.
