Movie: This song appears in 1968 Sagar Art International’s hit spy thriller Ankhen (The Eyes) produced and directed by Ramanand Sagar. The movie starred Dharmendra, Mala Sinha, late Mahmood, late Dhumal, late Lalita Pawar, late Jeevan, late Madan Puri, Kum Kum, etc.

The movie is set in the India after independence India, which is facing terrorist attacks in Assam, resulting in several casualties. Some concerned non-government citizens come together to do something to stop the bloodshed. Salim has been working in Beirut in the same connection, but he is found out and shot dead. Sunil Mehra (Dharmendra) must travel to Beirut to take over. He reveals to his sister Sunanda (Kumkum) that there was a girl, Meenakshi Mehta (Mala Sinha), who would admire him. In a flashback, he reveals what had happened when he had gone for training in Japan.

In Beirut, he meets Meenakshi again. The terrorists are headed by a man called Syed (Sajjan) and they abduct Sunanda’s son Babloo. It is at this time that Sunanda visits a temple to pray for her child’s safe return.
