Movie: This song appeared in 1977 romantic drama Darling Darling produced by Kishore Doshi and directed by late Gogi Anand. The movie starred late Dev Anand, Zeenat Aman, late Jeevan, Poonam Sinha, late Nadira, late Dheeraj Kumar, late Durga Khote, late Mahmood, etc.

Seema (Poonam Sinha) ditches Kumar (Dev Anand) and he takes to alcohol. He sings this song at that time.

Song: The music of this song was composed by R D Burman and the lyrics were penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri.

The man says this is a woman and this is alcohol. He asks, out of them, what is true and who is a liar.

The video opens with Poonam Sinha dancing with Dheeraj Kumar. There is a bottle of whiskey held by someone, beside her. This is a symbolic comparison between the girl and alcohol, which is mentioned in the song. Dev Anand takes a swig and begins the song. Mahmood is smiling and clicking on a bottle in tune with the song.

Poonam Sinha pulls Dheeraj Kumar along and moves to another place to continue dancing. Dev Anand follows her and is still singing. Mahmood stays close to him. Mahmood tries to snatch the bottle of whiskey from Dev Anand’s hand. But, he does not allow him to take it away. He instead downs the entire bottle of whiskey.

Dev Anand staggers and Mahmood holds him. Dev Anand throws the bottle up in the air and Mahmood catches it. The video ends with Mahmood pulling Dev Anand out of the discotheque.

Cultural Influence: The hero has been ditched by a girl and he laments it. This filmi song is good and so are the artists. The video is watchable for the same.
