Sunil Kumar (Dev Anand) is a star cricketer in Jhansi. He has an ideal family. His sister-in-law Uma and her little son have a deep affection for him. Sunil has to move to Bombay (Mumbai now) to attend a job interview, where he rents a room to stay. The landlord Geeta (Mala Sinha) initially does not like Sunil. But, after watching him play cricket, she falls in love with him. Sunil’s boss invites him and Geeta for a party celebrating the winning of the match. In the hotel, when some people are dancing on the dance floor, one of the dancers’ shoe flies to fall on their table. At this time, Sunil sings this song.

The video opens with some musicians playing different musical instruments and some people dancing on the dance floor. At this time, Dev Anand and Mala Sinha enter the restaurant to find his boss sitting at a table. As a couple of dancers kick as they dance, one of their shoes flies and lands on Dev Anand’s table. Dev Anand is offended and comes to the place where the musicians are present.
He hits a pair of cymbals hard and after gaining everybody’s attention begins this song. Mala Sinha smiles and goes to stand near a pillar. The dancers resume their dance in tune with the song. One girl begins an Indian Classical dance. While Dev Anand sings, his close-up shot is shown for some time. The girl also performs some steps of Bharatanatyam.
The video ends with Dev Anand leaving the place with the actor, playing his boss and Mala Sinha.
