Movie: This song appeared in 1979 disaster drama based on a real incident Kaala Patthar (Black Stone) produced and directed by Yash Chopra under the banner of Yash-Raj Films. The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Rakhi, late Parveen Babi, Neetu Singh, Prem Chopra, etc.
Vijay Pal Singh (Amitabh Bachchan), a disgraced Merchant Navy Captain, feels guilty for abandoning his ship and risking over 300 passengers’ lives. He begins to work as a coal miner. He meets and develops a friendship with Ravi Malhotra (Shashi Kapoor), an engineer in charge of the mine. He also makes an enemy of a co-worker Mangal (Shatrughan Sinha), who is an escaped convict, hiding in the miners’ community to avoid police. Anita (Parveen Babi) is a journalist, who has come to cover the mine and is a friend of Ravi. Channo (Neetu Singh) is the local small decorative items vendor. Jagga (Parikshit Sahni) is a friend of the community and a truck driver.
The owner Seth Dhanraj (Prem Chopra) does not support their life in the mines and the community. He considers their lives insignificant in front of money. He gives them poor equipment, insufficient medical supplies and no facilities. The time comes when the mine workers are to be given a bonus for their work during some festival. The owner Seth Dhanraj (Prem Chopra) decides to give only one month’s bonus instead of 3. The workers protest in front of his home. Ravi comes to the rescue of the workers and convinces Dhanraj to give them 3 months’ bonus. This is actually a ploy of the owner to get rid of Ravi soon.
But, Ravi and the workers are blissfully ignorant of the scheme. The workers enjoy the night in dance singing this song. Ravi, Anita, Jagga, Mangal and Channo dance till dawn with the workers to the tune of this song.

Parveen Babi is also dancing among the other dancers. Shashi Kapoor and Parikshit Sahni also join them. Shatrughan Sinha pulls Neetu Singh by her hand, which she jerks off. Rakhi sits with an older woman. Amitabh Bachchan is standing on the side, smiling.
Some girls are standing on trucks and dancing. Shashi Kapoor and Parveen Babi take over the song. Shashi Kapoor dances in his patent style. The dance has been choreographed with a lot of movement within the dance area. Rakhi comes and stands with Amitabh Bachchan. Parveen Babi walks closer to Rakhi, singing the song. Neetu Singh also approaches Rakhi and Amitabh Bachchan and holds their hands to make a circle. The circle consists of the lead actors.
The others form a larger circle outside the small one. The video ends there.
