Song ‘Patakha Guddi’ a punjabi word used to define a girl as firefly or firey kite is from the film ‘Highway’ is sung by Jyoti and Sultaan Nooran. Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt are the protagonist in the film. The interesting part of the song is it’s catchy beats,mix of two composition namely techno and traditional.From it’s lyrics, the listeners can make out that ‘Patakha Guddi’ is not like usual love song rather it is more about freedom,purity and wilderness.It have been sung in two version, male and female version but the latter sounds much better than the former.The use of tablas,flutes, punjabi folk music and sufi makes the song more energetic.
