Independent Trapping released an exclusive track on their website that was removed from the internet after six hours. The name of the song is Good Drank and features Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz and Quavo.
UPDATE: As of October 19th the song is back online.
The single is a 3:45 ode to the good life, the elements of which are good drank and good drugs. The hook, sung by Quavo, begins Good drank, big knots/Good drugs, I put four on the rocks.
2 Chainz’s verse ranges from the serious (Rest in peace to pop he was an OG, and later in reference to someone lese, Rest in peace to my nig**) to the boastful (My jewelry look like a lake/Today I’m in my Maybach).
Gucci Mane has the second verse. He keeps his part of the song pretty light bending words to make the rhyme work Three mil in a month but I just did three years on the bump/I’m here to stunt on you like Kevin Durunt (Kevin Durant, with an “a” and not two “u”s, is the basketball player’s real name).
Super producer Mike Dean provided the trap beat. He was worked with artists like The Weeknd, Kanye West and many more.
The track was released at 6pm EST and removed from both Soundcloud and YouTube six hours later. According to YouTube the song was removed due to a copyright claim by the YouTube channel Empire TV. As of October 19th, however, the song appears to be available for consumption.
2016 has been a very busy year for 2 Chainz. He released Felt Like Cappin in January and then another mixtape, Daniel Son; Necklace Don in August as well as a studio album in March. Gucci Mane may have had an even busier year releasing two mixtapes and two albums since January. His latest, Woptober, came out on October 14, 2016.
Hopefully the copyright issues are all cleared up. No word yet if the track will appear on an album for any of the artists.
