When this song was launched, the comedy shows in India made fun of it. According to them the meaning of “Chinta ta chita chita, Chinta ta taa,” was that worry was similar to funeral pyre. They meant that if we worried too much we would end up dead!

Movie: The song, Chinta ta chita chita… has appeared in the 2012 movie Rowdy Rathore. The movie is an action drama directed by dance choreographer Prabhu Deva and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Rajat Rawail. This film is a remake of the Telugu movie Vikramarkudu and stars Akshay Kumar, Sonalshi sinha, Yashpal Sharma, Paresh Ganatra and Gurdeep Kohli. The antagonist was played by the Tamil actor Nassar. Tamil actor Vijay and Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan also appears in this song.

Shiva (Akshay Kumar) is a petty thief in Mumbai, who falls in love with Paro (Sonakshi Sinha).

Shiva sings this song after he sees Paro for the first time and immediately falls for her. Besides, he needs to escape from a female police officer as well.

Song: Song writer is Sameer and the music is composed by Sajid-Wajid. Original composition is by M. M. Kreem.

The song goes thus, “If the world goes backwards, I go forwards. I know all games. I am a great game player. I will take them all to a narrow corner. And I will teach them all. What? Chinta ta chita chita, Chinta ta taa, Chinta ta chita chita, Chinta ta taa, Chinta ta chita chita, Chinta ta taa, Chinta ta chita chita, Chinta ta taa.”

A reference to a series of movies with Khiladi in its name has been made here. The lead actor in this series was Akshay Kumar. The words, Chinta ta chita chita Chinta ta taa, are just used to get the words to rhyme on the given beats.

The song continues, “Hey, what a complexion and features! What a walk and clothing! There is no answer to her. There is nothing like her.”

When the singer has done praising the girls, he again uses nonsense words.

The singer sings the next stanza, “Hey, it’s a new year. It’s a new beauty. If I get some girl, she may be dark or fair, secretively, hidden from others, I will tie my heart-string to hers. I will take them all to a narrow corner. And I will teach them all. What? Chinta ta ta chita chita, Chinta ta taa. Attitude is present in her eyes. She also has money in her pocket. She has a naughty nature. Her coat is colorful. Her face is innocent. The flaw is in her motive. The pyjama is tight, while the loincloth is loose. I will do something to straighten her character. I will make her better. I will show her the mirror. . I will take them all to a narrow corner. And I will teach them all. What? Chinta ta ta chita chita, Chinta ta taa.”

This is a comedy based foot-tapping dance. The beginning of the song shows Akshay Kumar spraying perfume on himself and the police woman being enchanted by it. That itself has comic effect.

Then he dances with extra dancers. It is a typical Prabhu Deva dance, which reminds us of Michael Jackson. Location changes are good. Prabhu Deva also dances in between. Even the famous South Indian actor Vijay appears in the song. Kareena Kapoor Khan comes, when the location changes to a fashion show inside a hall. Her dress is beautiful.

Akshay Kumar tapping his hands to the music, with other extra dancers looks good. Akshay Kumar’s dress keeps changing. Kareena tapping the same rhythm on Akshay’s chest is also funny.

The location again changes to the streets. Sonakshi sees a boy throwing the empty tetra pack of juice on the road and she jumps on it. The pack explodes with a big sound and since it is sudden it gives a heart attack to a fat man. Akshay Kumar comes to the rescue and using the same tapping technique he brings the man to consciousness. But at the same time, Akshay picks the fat man’s purse. When the man realizes it he becomes unconscious again.

Akshay Kumar, Prabhu Deva and Vijay dancing on the streets feels good. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prabhu Deva together also look good.

Artists: Mika Singh and Wajid Khan have sung this song on the playback. Akshay Kumar, Prabhu Deva, Vijay, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Paresh Ganatra perform it.

Cultural Influence: This is a comic song with entertainment value. When this song was first released, everybody would keep tapping their hands on available stuff, even on each others’ backs. It was a hit then. Even now when some TV channels telecast this song, its impact is still obvious at least for some time.
